EnviroPlus Termite Protection
Even though EPS insulation is a resilient and durable construction element in homes and buildings, it can suffer the effects of termite infestation if left untreated.
Termites bore their way into EPS insulation for shelter and from there will often find their way to the wooden parts of a structure. The tunnels they create, as well as their excretions, can ultimately weaken the resilience of EPS.
PREVENTOL™ Provides the Solution
That is why Tri State Foam's EnviroPlus Termite Protection line of insulation is thoroughly protected against the ravages of termites with the application of a systemic insecticide called PREVENTOL™.
Using the active ingredient imidacloprid, PREVENTOL™ is added in low concentrations to the polystyrene bead expansion process during the manufacturing of EnviroPlus Termite Protection insulation. The insecticide is completely safe for both installers and home and building owners and occupants. In addition, the application of the insecticide does nothing to lessen the energy-saving properties of EPS insulation.
Installation
EPS treated with PREVENTOL™ is recognized for ground-contact use on the exterior face of foundation walls, under interior or exterior foundation walls or slab foundations below grade or where located within 6 inches of exposed earth.
